Q
QUOTE FLOW SETUP
A beginner-friendly installation guide
Welcome to QuoteFlow Set up your quote calculator in a few guided steps. You will need the database details provided by your web-hosting control panel. A demo calculator is created automatically after installation.
Where do I find these details? 1
Open your hosting panel Sign in to cPanel or your hosting dashboard and look for MySQL Databases / Databases.
Hosting panel · Databases
2
Create a new database Choose a name such as quoteflow. Copy the full name shown by your host, including any prefix.
3
Create a database user Create a user and a strong password, then assign that user to the new database with the privileges required to create and manage tables.
4
Test, then install Enter the details and select Test database connection . If successful, select Install QuoteFlow .
Important: Use a new, empty database. Do not use a database that contains another website's data. If a connection fails, check the full database name, host, user assignment and password.
Server requirements ✓ PHP 8.2 or newer — OK ✓ PDO MySQL extension — OK ✓ mbstring extension — OK ✓ Application folder writable during setup — OK Required: MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.4+. If a PHP extension is missing, enable it in your hosting PHP settings or contact your host.
After installation QuoteFlow will create your administrator account and a starter demo calculator. Sign in, preview the demo, submit a test lead, and explore the Help & install section.
Security: after successful installation, remove install.php from the public server. Keep config.php private and use HTTPS on a live site.
